It's the mighty boom box that turned an average street corner into a stage for b-boys and b-girls. Made an MC stretch his skills, if there was more needed to it than finger snaps and hand claps. Made a mad mix tape being heard by the whole neighborhood and beyond — a device to "turn the streets to a block party".
"Boom Box" of the HipHobjects series is a fine art offset print on rough cardboard paper by Flora at hearty 240 g/m² — FSC-certified mix of recycled papers, cotton addition and tfc-cellulose for a grippy, non-glossy and natural surface with unique fibre mottle pattern. The razor sharp duo chroma print unites the pure black followed by the signal red channel. Both smoothly blend together as the colors harmonize with the light ivory and grainy background. The black and grey'ish components are the highly detailed vector illustration which is a technical resemblance to the art of traditional copper engraving — line by line. The red components are the scanned copy of hand-carved lino-prints to combine the digital space with the analog world.
Attention please!
The print does NOT come in a neat frame. The title photo is meant to be an idea of application and inspiration. Purchases are being shipped weekly on Monday morning.
The entire effort is brought to life in cooperation with VaKo Druck, the local printing house with a decades lasting tradition in their craft and a sophisticated feeling for analog media. Thanks.
